THE SYNESTHESIA BETWEEN ARTS, 1962–64

In 1962, with the formulation of some principles developed in his research at the Faculty of Architecture (with Alberto Seassaro), the idea of a process of “synesthesia” among the arts came to the fore. This was a creative process (of direct sensorial, intellectual and emotional transportation) ranging over all formal disciplines, with only the “sign” in common. In this sense, the work realized through a synesthetic process, attempts an overcoming of the static problem of the intégration des arts.
