THREE DIMENSIONAL – two dimensional MEMORY, 1980

The transformation of memory can mean synthetically moving from deep memory (three-dimensional, made up of experiences according to a process of knowledge and memorization done in stages and subsequent events) to a flat memory (two-dimensional, everything slides across a single surface).
In the exhibition “Cronografie” (Venice Biennal, 1980), La Pietra investigates the two principles (time and memory) in relation to human life.
